Abigail J. Toothman

Abigail June Morgan Toothman, 82, of Caldwell, WV passed away Friday, March 16, 2012 at home. She was born June 16, 1929 in Greenbrier County to James W. and Lena Morgan. She graduated from Greenbrier High School in 1947 and worked at Bendix and Sears. Abigail was a member of Greenbrier Baptist Church, loved her family and friends and enjoyed traveling, gardening and gospel sings with her special friends, Alice Wykle and Winnie Pauley. In addition to her parents, Abigail was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Guy Toothman, a great granddaughter, Morgan Wallace; brothers, Melvin, Lambert and Gerald Morgan and sisters, Elva Honaker, Frances Earhart, and Janice Boone. Survivors include her son Douglas Toothman and wife, Ann of Milton, WV; daughter, Sarah Mayberry of Caldwell. Very special to Abigail were grandchildren, Chris Mayberry of Covington, VA, Allison Mayberry of Caldwell, Nathan (Tiffany) Toothman of Waialua, HI, Joshua (Valerie) Toothman of St. Louis, MO, Adam (Brooke) Toothman of Arvada, CO and Jodi Gibson of Clarksville, TN. Great grandchildren are Christopher and Forest Mayberry of Covington VA; Aire Mayberry of Caldwell, Christian Toothman of Hawaii and another great grandson due in June. Also surviving are two sisters, Jean Linkous of Ronceverte and Donna (Pete) Estep of Sinks Grove. Funeral service will be 12:00 PM Monday, March 19, 2012 at Greenbrier Baptist Church in Ronceverte with Pastor Tim Dillon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Sunday March 18 at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg and one hour prior to the service at the church. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
