Ada Faye Yates

Ada Faye Yates, 81, of Lewisburg, WV, passed away peacefully in her home on February 15, 2025. Born on April 9, 1943, in Asbury, WV, she was the daughter of the late Merlin Dewey and Mae Etta Henson Harvey.

Ada was a devoted member of the Emmanuel Open Bible Church in Frankford, WV. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Yates; sisters, Betty Breland and Hattie Christian; and a brother, Bill Harvey.

She is survived by her children, Dwight Yates, and daughter Wanda Sparks (George Jr.); granddaughter, Crystal Ferguson (Chester Jr.); great-granddaughters, Talena Justice (Joshua Tunstalle) and Shalonda Hoke (Dustin); and great-great-grandchildren, Skylin, Ember, and Buxton Hoke.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at the Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV, with Pastors Aaron Hodge, Raymond Christian, Gary and Debby DeVart officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Fairview Church Cemetery, Keenan, WV.
