Alice Cloe Hintersteiner, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2026, at Henrico Doctors' Hospital in Henrico, VA. She was 57 years old.
Born on August 1, 1968, in Ronceverte, West Virginia, Alice was known for her loving and compassionate nature. She opened her heart and home to many, embodying a spirit of generosity and care that touched all who had the honor of knowing her. As a mother to many, she demonstrated wisdom and kindness that guided and nurtured those around her.
Alice delighted in crafting and found great joy in spending time with her grandchildren, sharing moments filled with laughter and love. She especially treasured trips to Roaring Creek, where she found inspiration for her writing and peace within nature’s embrace. These interests were reflective of her thoughtful and creative spirit, enriching the lives of her family and friends.
She is survived by her devoted sons, Kenna Hintersteiner (Dee Dee) and Bryson Hintersteiner, and her beloved grandchildren Kamryn Simms, Chevelle, Jasper, and Mary Hintersteiner. The presence of her family was a constant source of joy and meaning throughout her life.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, William Kenna “Duke” Johnson and Mary Burns Johnson, and her sister, Audrey Louise Johnson. Though their absence is deeply felt, their memories live on in the hearts of those who loved Alice.
Her passing leaves a void in the lives of many, yet the warmth of her spirit, her generosity, and her unwavering love will forever remain a guiding light. Alice Cloe Hintersteiner’s legacy is one of grace, compassion, and devotion, and she will be remembered with profound respect and enduring affection.
It was Alices' wish to be cremated and services will be held at a later date.
