Allen Brown Shafer

LEWISBURG, WV – Allen Brown Shafer, 73 of Lewisburg, WV passed away Saturday, February 7, 2026 at his home. Born August 2, 1952 in Maxwelton, WV he was the son of the late Austin Brown Shafer and Brownie Grey Fogus Shafer. He graduated from Greenbrier East and attended Marshall University. Allen retired from CSX Transportation. He and his late wife, Julia Cline Simmons Shafer loved to travel and compete in barrel racing.

Survivors include a sister, Brenda Barry (John), niece, Whitney Barry, great niece, Sullivan Barry and great nephew, Shafer Barry, many friends and his cat, Rocky.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM, Thursday, February 19, 2026 at the Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
