Alma Ruth Goebel

Frankford, WV- Alma Ruth Goebel, 86 of Frankford, WV passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Lewis Gale Hospital in Salem, VA. Born November 13, 1933 in Mohawk, WV she was the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson Lawson and Bertha Elizabeth Blankenship Lawson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Mohawk Bailey Sr., a son Mohawk Bailey Jr., a daughter Deborah Minnick, and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include her husband of over twenty years Herbert Goebel, daughter-in-law, Lessie Lewis of Frankford, brother, Charles Lawson (Jackie) of Iaeger, WV, sister, Anna Bailey of Bluefield, WV, and many adoring grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV. Visitation will be 6:00PM to 8:00PM Friday, January 31, 2020 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Morningside Cemetery at Renick, WV.
