Arminta Weikle

Arminta Weikle, 85 of Fairlea passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at The Brier Nursing Center in Ronceverte. Born March 28, 1930 at Ronceverte, she is the daughter of the late Echols and Madge Holliday Bennett and in addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Harry Weikle on April 29, 2008, her sisters, Mila Mitchell and Evidene Morgan and her brother, Edwin Bennett. Arminta worked for A&P in Lewisburg and Beckley for 30 years and retired from the Bank of Greenville after 11 years of service. After retirement, she enjoyed making quilts with her quilting group and was especially proud of her groups making over 150 "Pillowcase dresses" for kids in Haiti. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Ronceverte and the Red Hats. Survivors include her sister, Diana Propps and husband, Glen of Covington, VA; brothers, Buford Bennett and wife, Arlene Hopewell, VA, Orlie Bennett and wife, Dolores of Ronceverte and Manfred Bennett and wife, Linda of Ronceverte and many nieces and nephews. Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Rev. Dave Stilgenbauer and Rev. Jason Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens at Lewisburg.
