Aubrey L. Hanson

LEWISBURG, WV – Aubrey Layton Hanson, 77 of Lewisburg, WV passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke, VA. Born August 14, 1947, in Ronceverte, WV he was the son of the late Robert Lacy and Goldie Arretta Taylor Hanson.  Aubrey retired from State Electric and was a member of the Lewisburg Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Audrey Hanson Billos.

Survivors include, his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Donna Sue Napier Hanson, niece, Lisa Kay Abbott (Jay) of Blacksburg, VA, nephew, Stacy Billos of Greensboro, NC, sisters in law, Carolyn Napier, Diana Shafer (David), Joyce Clendenin (Roger) and Marie Napier, brother-in-law, John Napier (Sharon), several other nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 28, 2024, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, Lewisburg, WV with Pastor Jonathan Comer officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, Saturday. Burial will follow the service in the Rosewood Cemetery. Online guestbook can be signed at www.morganfh.net.
