Aubrey Vernon Thompson

FAIRLEA, WV – Aubrey Vernon Thompson, 93 of Fairlea, WV passed away Monday, October 15, 2018 at Miller’s Merry Manor, Portage, IN. Born May 22, 1925 in Monroe County, WV he was the son of the late, Leonard and Alva McDaniel Thompson. Aubrey was a member of the Fairlea ARP Church. He loved woodworking and being outdoors. He worked as a Bulk Milk Driver for RIPCO and worked for Southern States as a driver. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Neva Myrtle Fullen Thompson, daughter, Norma Kay Thompson Hall, sister, Evelyn Thompson Holcomb and brother, Emory Thompson. Survivors include his daughter, Barbara Ann Thompson McCoy (Daniel), son in law, Chester Hall, sisters in law, Rita Harris (Bill), Shelby Dodd (Roy), Wanda and Caroline Fullen, five grandchildren, Christy Smith (Greg), Erica Bush (Jason), Becky Jackson (Tim), Brenda Hall and Mike Hall, nine great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Friday, October 19, 2018 at the Fairlea ARP Church with Pastor Bill Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Ronceverte, WV. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, October 18, 2018 at the Morgan Funeral Home – 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV.
