Avis Ray Spence

Avis Ray Spence of Alderson passed away at the ARH Summers County Hospital on November 4, at the age of 82. He was born June 20, 1932 the son of the late Lealon and Anna McClung Spence. He was preceded in death by two brothers Charles Spence and Herman Spence. He is survived by a brother Lee Spence and wife Carol of Sinks Grove and special friend Mary Clay of Alderson, WV. He attended the Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Spring. He was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Alderson VFW. His body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at the Fort Spring Missionary Baptist Church on Friday, November 7 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jon Hunt officiating.
