Berdenia Christine Perdue

BRISTOW, VA - Ms. Berdenia “Birdie" Perdue (née Taylor) died unexpectedly at home on December 10, 2018 in Bristow, Virginia at the age of 68.

Berdenia is survived by her Son, Brian Perdue and his Husband, Jody of Arlington, Virginia; her Son, Brent Perdue and his Wife, Tara and her three Grandchildren: Ava, Jackson and Joseph of Bristow, Virginia; her Brother, Dennis Taylor and his wife, Kay of Union, West Virginia; her Father, Clyde Taylor of Ronceverte; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her Mother, Lelia Mae of Ronceverte, West Virginia.

Berdenia was born on December 4, 1950 in Ronceverte to Clyde and Lelia Mae. Berdenia was a member of the Ronceverte Christian Church of Ronceverte. She graduated from Marshall University with a degree in Early Child Development. She dedicated her life to the education and caring of children, both hers and those of other people, first as a caretaker and then a full time grandmother.

A viewing is scheduled for Thursday, December 13 ^th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg, WV. A funeral service is scheduled for Friday, December 14th at 11am at the same location. Burial will follow in the Greenbrier Memorial Gardens, Lewisburg, WV. The family will be accepting friends and family on Thursday at the Holiday Inn Express in Lewisburg immediately following the viewing. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Berdenia’s life.
