Bertha Mae Boggs

Bertha Mae Boggs, 87, of Caldwell passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2013 in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born October 10, 1925 in Blue Sulphur Springs, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Russell Williams and Charles Wilda Scruggs Williams and was preceded in death by her husband the late Paul W. Boggs in 2002; brothers Clinton, Kyle, Woodrow, Lawrence, James, Leslie, and Jess Williams and sister, Naomi Hylton. Bertha worked at Boggs Auto Parts in Caldwell, a business that Paul and Bertha started over 60 years ago. She worked everyday up until the time of her illness in July. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, and spending time with her family and talking with the customers at work. Bertha is survived by her children, sons, Paul Jr. and Teresa of Caldwell, Russell and Andrea of Lewisburg, daughters, Pamela Laursen and Lee of Roanoke, VA, Burnitice Booze and Robert of Caldwell, Kimberly Counts and Eddie of Harts Run and a sister, Nora Blanche Karnes of Princeton; eight grandchildren, Michelle Surgeon and Jeff of Fincastle, VA, Michael Boggs and Alicia of Elkins WV, Amelia Evans and Mark of Indiana, Christy Boggs of Port Orange, FL, Russell Boggs, Jr. and Holly of White Sulphur Springs, Brittany Boggs of White Sulphur Springs, Spencer Thomas of Williamsburg and Jeremy Counts of Harts Run and twelve great grandchildren Aaron, Kara, Abigail, Caden, Lydia, Nathan, Caitland, Cassidi, Regan, Leaha, Anse, and Calleigh.Service:1:30 PM SaturdayOctober 5, 2013Caldwell Pentecostal Holiness ChurchCaldwell, WVVisitation:11:30 AM to 1:30 PMSaturday October 5, 2013Caldwell Pentecostal Holiness Church
