Bethleen Mccoy

Gillie Bethleen McCoy, 89, of Renick, WV, went to be with the Lord Thursday, August 8, 2013. She was born Sept 4, 1923 and lived all her life on Leonard Cordova Rd, Spring Creek, WV. What a special day it was nearly 90 years ago when God gave you life and through you, gave us life. Although hearts are broken, we are thankful for the time we had to share with our mother. Throughout these years, mom devoted her life to caring for those she loved. She dedicated her life early to the Lord, her door was open and a meal prepared for all who came. Bethleen was the daughter of the late George and Lula Bell Baldwin Lewis and was raised by her grandparents Frank and Mary Crouse Lewis. Other than her parents and grandparents she was preceded in death by Tom McCoy, her husband of 67 years, step-mother Ethel Crane Lewis, daughter-in-law Peggy, grandson Keith, brothers James, Lacy, Melvin, Hobert, Orville, Harry, Henry and a sister, Lula Bell. Those left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Eveleenia (Pastor Marshall Cochran), sons Hobert (Mickey), Eugene (Nadine), Darrell, Dale (companion Anna Bell), sisters Wanda (Don), Mary (Wilburn) brothers Sidney, Bradford, Robert, sister-in-law Samuella, 16 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and numerous neice's and nephew's. Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, Aug.11 at Gethsemane Baptist Church in Frankford with Rev. Marshall Cochran officiating. Burial will follow in the Ellis Chapel Cemetery, Brushy Flat.
