Betsy Hudgins

LEWISBURG, WV – Betsy Jane Bennett Hudgins, 89 of Lewisburg, WV passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023 at the Seasons Place. Born July 31, 1933 in Caldwell, WV she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Dortha “Dot” Bennett. Betsy baked wedding cakes and catered for thirty years. She graduated from White Sulphur Springs High School class of 1951.  Betsy was a member of the Old Stone Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder for three years. She was a member of the Lewisburg Order of the Eastern Star and served as treasurer for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reginald Donald Hudgins and son, Donald E. Hudgins.

Survivors include a grandson, whom she adopted, Drew Hudgins (Kenna), their sons, Bennett and Jonah of Cadiz, Ky, sister, Patsy Buckley (Thomas) of Louden, TN, niece, Amy Bishop (John) of Loveland, OH and their children, Madison and Brandon, niece, Erin Blaum (Richard) of Sarasota, FL.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel – Lewisburg, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, Tuesday at the funeral home.
