Betty Jean O'Brien

Betty Jean OBrien, 87, of Ronceverte passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Brier Nursing and Rehab Center at Ronceverte. Born May 20, 1929 at Ronceverte she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Loxie Folden Goodall. In addition to her parents Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry OBrien; sister, Elaine Arbaugh; and brother, Lewis "Bud" Goodall and wife, Erma Jean "Wicky" Goodall.Betty was a very kind, gentle, loving, caring, and giving individual. Home and family was her focus in life. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and belonged to the United Methodist Womens Group and Circle 3. Betty volunteered at the Brier for many years. She was a cancer survivor and belonged to the Breast Cancer Support Group.She is survived by her special nieces and nephews.Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday October 11, 2016 at Greenbrier Memorial Gardens with Pastor David Stilgenbauer officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church 707 Pocahontas Ave. Ronceverte, WV 24901.
