Beverly Lynn Mclaughlin

Beverly Lynn McLaughlin 65, of Lewisburg WV passed away Tuesday, November 5,2013 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Born June 6, 1948 at Frankford WV she was the daughter of the late Earl and Erma Gray of Frankford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Elizabeth Anne of Stow, OH, Brenda Gail of Manassas, VA, and a brother Carroll L. Gray of Huntington, WV. Left to cherish her memory, her husband of 43 years, Richard her constant companion and loving caregiver and who so generously donated one of his kidneys so she would have a better life; sisters Winogean(James) Smith of Akron, OH, Leila(Kenneth) Boothe of Frankford, WV and a brother Earl F. Gray(Janet) of Seven Valleys, Pa; sister in law June Altizer of Renick, WV, many nieces and nephews and many good friends. Lynn was a charter member of Edgewood Presbyterian Church where she was pianist and choir director for many years and was a soloist for many weddings, funerals, and Christmas Eve Services. She loved to cook and baked many cakes for church and bake sales. She owned and operated a bed and breakfast for 15 years where she was widely known for her huge country breakfast. She was talented in many areas and loved crafts and needlework and had many hobbies. She was a passionate animal lover with numerous pets of her own as will as taking in several strays, unwanted and abused animals. When she was able she loved going to their remote camp along the Greenbrier River and taking the dogs to swim. She will be sadly missed by her large animal family. She fought a long and courageous battle for many years with kidney, lung, heart and artery disease, however she always kept her faith and her indomitable spirit. A celebration of her life will be held at Edgewood Presbyterian Church on Saturday November 9,2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ben Gurley officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be at Rosewood Cemetery.
