Bill Goodwin

LEWISBURG, WV – William D. Goodwin, 79 of Lewisburg, WV passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center. Born August 4, 1943, in Baltimore, MD he was the son of the late William E. and Virginia Douglass Goodwin. Bill graduated from WVU Law School in 1967.  He worked for S.J. Neathawk Lumber for many years before opening his law practice in Lewisburg in 1992.  He was the former owner of Stuart and Watts Real Estate Company. Bill was a member and Trustee of the Rhema Christian Center.

Survivors include his loving wife, Marie Raines Goodwin, sons, Doug Goodwin (Leigh Ann) of Lewisburg, WV, and Sean Goodwin (Stacey) of Alvon, WV, mother of his sons and friend, Janet Neathawk of Lewisburg, WV, stepson, Jeff Faudree (Tanga) of New Market, VA, step daughters, Lisa Arbogast (John) of Singer Glen, VA and Shelly Faudree of Lewisburg, WV, grandchildren, S.J., Henry, Bryleigh, Ella Goodwin (Tyler) and Lilly Goodwin, step grandchildren, Justin Faudree (Shakia), Jeremy Faudree (Brittney), Oslin Faudree (Emily), Brandon Arbogast (Hilary) , J.D. Arbogast (Emilee) and Warren Dale Adkins (Holly), several step great grandchildren and a host of others who called him “Daddy Bill”. He is also survived by his Aussie companion Sadie.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at the Morgan Funeral Home – Lewisburg, WV. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 25, 2022, at Rhema Christian Center, Davis Stuart Road, Lewisburg, WV with his “Brother” Pastor Stewart Farley officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens, Lewisburg, WV. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Rhema Christian Center – 3584 Davis Stuart Road, Lewisburg, WV 24901 to help with ongoing community projects within the Greenbrier Valley.
