Bill Grimmett

William R. "Bill" Grimmett 73, of Lewisburg passed away on Wednesday October 28, 2016 at the Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea. Born July 22, 1942 in Summers County he was the son of the late Lonnie and Juanita Grimmett. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Olleata Thomas, Virginia Craft, Geneva Via, and June Erskine; and a brother, Arthur Grimmett. Bill was the former owner of E & B Auto at Lewisburg and retired in 1999. Even though he could be extremely cantankerous at times, Bill was a kindhearted, loving, and generous soul who would give the shirt off his back to help others in need. I was very proud to call him friend and dad. He is survived by his wife, Esther Bittinger Ridgeway Grimmett; children, Melissa Grimmett (Richard Sauls) of Lewisburg, Bonita Huffman (Edgar) and Gordon Ridgeway (Teresa) all of Covington, VA and David Ridgeway (Carrie) of White Sulphur Springs; eight grandchildren, Eddie Huffman, Tryna Bowen, Stephanie Ridgeway, Eric Huffman, Heather Davis, Amanda Ridgeway, Walter Ridgeway, and Christian Ridgeway; seventeen great grandchildren; a sister, Juanita Davis (Charles) of Alderson; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg.
