Bobby Joe Long

BLACKSBURG, SC – Bobby Joe Long, 76 of Blacksburg, SC passed away peacefully with his family by his side, Saturday, April 25, 2020 at his home. Born July 30, 1943 at Renick, WV he was the son of the late Earl and Edith Fern Tharp Long. Bobby was of the Methodist faith. He loved his dogs, Brut and Patches. Bobby was an avid fisherman, gardener, loved the outdoors and Nascar. He was a fan of WVU Sports, Carolina Panthers football and Duke Bluedevils basketball. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, James Phillip Long. Survivors include a son, Robert Long (Sandie) of Commerce, GA, grandson, Jake Long of Gainesville, GA, sister, Wanda McMillion of Hillsboro, WV, a step-brother and a step-sister.

Graveside service will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, April 30, 2020 at the Sunset Cemetery, Jacox, WV with Pastor Pete Scott officiating.
