Bonnie Sue Palm-Humphreys

Bonnie Sue Palm-Humphreys, 79, of Lewisburg, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2026.

Born on August 5, 1947, Bonnie was the daughter of Delbert Hammons and Ada Blankenship Hammons. She will be remembered as a loving, friendly, and kind-hearted woman whose warm smile and quick wit brought joy to those around her. Bonnie had a gift for making people laugh and had a way of making everyone feel welcome.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Humphreys, Sr.; her parents, Delbert Hammons and Ada Blankenship Hammons; her son, Russell Lee Simmons; and her siblings, Linda Hammons, Pamela Joann Stalls, Timothy Jay Hammons, Ray Hammons, and Bobby Hammons.

She is survived by her brother, Frank Hammons and his wife, Jean, of Iowa; her stepdaughters, Elizabeth Humphreys of Lewisburg and Carole Stewardson of Roanoke, Virginia; her daughter-in-law, Angela Humphreys of Martinsburg, West Virginia; her grandchildren, Samantha Humphreys, Courtney Field, Meghan Stewardson, Lee Humphreys, and Harley Humphreys; five great-grandchildren; and many friends whose lives were touched by her kindness and humor.

Bonnie's family will remember her for her loving heart, her unwavering devotion to those she cared about, and her ability to find humor in everyday life. She leaves behind many cherished memories that will continue to bring comfort and smiles to those who knew and loved her.

A graveside service will be held at Greenbrier Memorial Gardens, Deerfield Road, Lewisburg, WV, on Monday, October 19, 2026 at 11:00 am, with Monsignor Kevin Quirk officiating.
