Carl Adrin "Red" McMillion, 86, of Cass passed away Friday, January 16, 2015 in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born October 6, 1928 at Renick, he was the son of the late Orville and Veda Cutlip McMillion and in addition to his parents was preceded in death by an infant son, Carl McMIllion Jr. and two brothers, Eddie and Denver McMillion. Red served in the US Army in the Korean War and worked all his life on the railroad retiring as an engineer on The Cass Scenic Railroad. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Gladys McCoy McMillion; daughter, Sherry Johnson of Cass; sons, Doug McMillion of Covington, VA and David McMillion of Cass; grandchildren, Megan, Mac and Bradley McMillion and Jacob Johnson; great granddaughter, Selina McMillion; brother, Leo McMillion of Etters, PA and sisters, Linda Rose of Hillsboro and Essie King of York, PA. Service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Rev. Ron Kinzel officiating. Burial will follow in McMillion United Methodist Church Cemetery on Friars Hill.
