Carla Elizabeth Jennings

Carla Elizabeth Jones Jennings, 68, of Lewisburg, WV, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2026. She is the daughter of Gladys Katie Miller of Winston Salem, NC and the late Carl P. Jones of Lewisburg, WV.

Carla enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers and enjoyed cooking for others almost as much as she enjoyed sampling it herself. She worked in factories for most of her life and was also a phlebotomist.

She is survived by her mother; Gladys Katie Miller, two loving sons; Dustin Russel Jennings (Nita) of Colorado and Brandon James Jennings of Lewisburg, siblings; Carolyn Hoke (Eddie) of White Sulphur Springs, Sue Clark (Greg) of Lewisburg, Rodney Jones of Lewisburg, and Emily Fleming (Scott) of Winston Salem, NC, two step-grandchildren; Olivia and Tatem of Colorado, her very special fur baby; Carmella or “Little”, as she called her, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

In addition to her father, she is also preceded in death by her infant daughter; Kara Elizabeth Jones.

A Celebration of Life for Carla will be held at a later date.
