Carole Ruth Musser, 88, of Lewisburg, WV, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 8, 2025, at the Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg. Born on January 15, 1937, in Matoaka, WV, Carole was the beloved daughter of the late Samuel Welch and Ruth Taylor White.
Carole dedicated her career to nurturing young minds as an elementary art teacher with Wyoming County Schools, leaving a lasting impact on countless students and colleagues. Her devotion to education and her gentle spirit touched the lives of many throughout her years of service.
She was an active and faithful member of the Frankford United Methodist Church, where she found fellowship and meaning in her faith community.
Carole was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Lewis Musser, an infant son, and her brother, Darrell White. Her memory will be cherished by her son, Mark L. Musser; her sister, Donna White Marshall and husband Forrest; and her grandchildren, Austin Musser, Caleb Mason, and Dylan Mason, several nieces and nephews.
Carole’s legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. She leaves an indelible mark on her family, friends, former students, and the communities she served.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM, Friday, September 12, 2025, at the Morgan Funeral Home with Pastor Tyler Hylton officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
