Catherine Hayes

LEWISBURG, WV – Catherine June Edens Hayes, 56 of Lewisburg, WV passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023, at CAMC Memorial, Charleston, WV. Born June 27, 1967, in Philippi, WV she was the daughter of the late Orvill “Chuck” and Betty Haddix Edens. Cathy had worked as an Administrative Secretary for WVDOH for thirty-seven years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Mary Marteney (Jerry) and Calvin Edens (Elizabeth), sister-in-law, Adonis Edens and nephews, John, and Allen Edens.

Survivors include her loving husband, Joe B. Hayes Jr, stepson, Joe B. Hayes III, brother, John Edens, nieces, Barbara Gordon (Richard) Teresa Henderson (Terry) and Tracy Roth (Kevin), great nephew, Tyler Gordon (Ashley) and great-great nephew, Oliver Wayne Gordon.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 3, 2023, at the Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV with Pastor Mike Teubert officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service in the Rosewood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy should be made to a church or charity of your choice.
