Clara Leatherman Scronce

VALE, NC – Clara Leatherman Scronce, age 100, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the Lewisburg Healthcare Center. Born October 5, 1923, in Vale, NC, she was the daughter of the late Belton G. and Mae Carpenter Leatherman. Clara had worked in the furniture and textile industry before her retirement. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A.Z. Scronce, son, Michael W. Scronce, two sisters and four brothers.

Survivors include son, Jim Scronce (Sherri), daughter in law, Jean Scronce, grandchildren, Alex Scronce (Karen), Jessica Koumas (Mark) and Christine Scronce, five great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, several nieces and nephews.
