Connie Sue Comer

MAXWELTON, WV – Connie Sue Comer, 71 of Maxwelton, WV went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, May 24, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at the Peyton Hospice House, Lewisburg, WV.  Born May 3, 1948 at South Charleston, WV she was the daughter of the late Paul Jackson George.  Including her father, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Luke Ramsey Comer.  Survivors include her loving mother (94) Lorainne Harman George, her loving, dedicated husband of fifty-one years, Romie Comer, three sons, Brock Comer (Lisa) of South Charleston, WV, Jonathan Comer (Bethany) and Blaine Comer (Jessica) and daughter, Jennifer Comer all of Lewisburg, WV, grandchildren, Sara (Chad), Kevanna, Elizabeth (Jeffrey), Parker, Emilee, Leah, Carlee, Landon and Claire, great grandchild, Taytum, sisters, Kay McClure (Gary) and Joann Bare (Luther Hanson) all of South Charleston, WV, nieces and nephews and many friends. Connie was a member of the Lewisburg Baptist Church where she taught the Ladies Sunday School.  She read through her Bible from cover to cover every year since 1989.  She spent her life teaching the love of God including thirty-seven years teaching Kindergarten.  In 2004 she started the Lewisburg Baptist Academy where she was a very dedicated educator and always followed up on her student’s salvation.  Connie loved gardening and working with her flowers.   A Celebration of Connie’s life will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at the Lewisburg Baptist Church, officiated by: Kyle Brown and her sons Blaine Comer and Pastor Jonathan Comer. Graveside service will follow in the Graceland Memorial Gardens – 100 Graceland Circle, South Charleston, WV 25309 at 2:30 PM, Tuesday.  Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday, May 27, 2019 at the Lewisburg Baptist Church.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations should be made to the Luke Ramsey Comer Scholarship Fund which provides funding for Christian Education or the Lewisburg Baptist Church Building Fund, 246 Grand Avenue, Lewisburg, WV 24901.  Online guestbook can be signed at www.morganfh.net.  Arrangements by Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV.
