Connie Zimmerman

Connie Crook Zimmerman, 57 of Ronceverte, died Saturday, July 29,2023 at Hospice House at CAMC Memorial with loved ones by her side. She waged a courageous short battle with lung cancer, hospitalizing her for the last 24 days. It was during this time that Connie trusted the Lord Jesus Christ to be her personal Savior!

Born September 15, 1965, at Hinton, she was the daughter of the late Ronald and Arlene Crook of Hinton. Connie was a 1983 graduate of Hinton High School. She worked a variety of places: Walmart, Wendy’s, Kroger, Magic Mart, and different convenience stores. Lastly, she was employed at Little General Store on 219 in Lewisburg. It was obvious that Connie loved working and talking with people.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Mark Zimmerman; two daughters Jessi Zimmerman of Hinton and Kirstein Arnold of Rock Hill, SC; two stepdaughters Anna Bennett of Lewisburg; Melissa Altizer and husband Kevin of New Castle, VA and a stepson, Doug Zimmerman of Frankford; 6 step grandchildren; 11 step great grandchildren; a sister, Rhonda Grimmett and husband Tracy of Hinton; and her furry feline, Rosey. Several nieces and nephews also survived her.

Services will be Noon, Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Billy Pate (Cowboy Preacher) officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rosewood Cemetery in Lewisburg. Pall Bearers will be Tracy Grimmett, Thomas Grimmett, Nathan Grimmett, Jeremy Grimmett, Kevin Altizer, Jacob Altizer, and Casey Bennett. Online guestbook can be signed at www.morganfh.net.
