Corey Austin Vest

ASBURY, WV – Corey Austin Vest, 24 of Asbury, WV passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021 at his home. Born December 20, 1996 in Ronceverte, Corey was the son of Bradley Scott Fry (Jennifer) of Alderson, WV and Jamie Lynn Vest Gwinn of Alderson, WV. Corey spent most of his years working doing construction, cutting trees down and cooking. He loved the outdoors especially hunting, fishing, swimming and hanging out with close friends, family and his dog. He enjoyed going on car rides and listening to his favorite music of all kinds. He spent a lot of time going to mud-bogs, races, derby’s and looking at big trucks and sports cars. He had a funny personality with a caring heart and could make anyone smile with a simple word. Corey was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Herbert Vest and stepfather, Jackie Ray Reed, Jr. Survivors including his parents are his siblings, Remington Lane Fry, Trey Reed, Corbin Scott Fry, Mason Parker, Cierra Reed and Regan Fry, paternal grandparents, James and Juanita Fry of Asbury, WV, maternal grandmother, Brenda Kay Johnson of Bland, VA and maternal great grandmother, Kathleen Kershner, uncle Bobby Fry (Tara), aunt April Castillo (Oscar), special uncle, Emory Martin, aunt, Mary Hulmes and her children, Kenzie and Lana Holcomb, girlfriend, Carli Sheppard of Auto, WV, cousins, Robby Fry (Kelsey) and their children, Presley and Macie, cousin, Shayla Ann Fry, cousins, Hunter and Alexi Green and Caleb and Gabrielle Castillo, his best friend, Michael Blevins, special friends, Darrell & Sue Quillen and his dog, Maxx. Funeral service will be 7:00 PM, Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel – 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV with Pastor Anthony Carter officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, March 30, 2021 prior to the service. We will be following COVID-19 regulations and require guests wear a mask and maintain social distancing.
