Dwight M. Boggs Sr, 82, of White Sulphur Springs went home to be with Lord on Sunday, February 19, 2012. Born August 8, 1929 on Edds Mountain, Monroe County, he was the son of the late Hubert and Sarah Hoke Boggs and was preceded in death by two infant children, Diana and David; two grandchildren, Charlene Alexander and Ethan Dressler and the mother of his children, Rama Boggs. Mr. Boggs was a school bus driver for over 37 years in Greenbrier and Monroe Counties. He was a member of Wild Meadow Baptist Church. Survivors include his children, Patricia Boggs of Frankford, Dorothy Dowdy (Lewis) of Glace, Hilda McDowell (Wayland Mayo) of Covington, Joyce Spence (Lonnie) of Glace, Jackie Boggs (Vickie) of Glace, Danny Boggs (Elizabeth) of Glace and Dwight Boggs (Phyllis) of Roanoke, VA; 17 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Deskins (Quentin) of Manassas, VA and Betty of Huntington and a special friend, Bonnie Boggs. Service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Wild Meadow Baptist Church in White Sulphur Springs with Pastor Lowell O'Dell officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg.
