Edgar "Ed" Junior Wykle, 86, of White Sulphur Springs passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 peacefully at his home. Born April 23, 1926 in Monroe County, he was the son of the late Zernie and Bessie Wykle. Ed was in the United States Navy and was a World War II veteran. He retired from AT&T after 35 years of service. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Beatrice and second wife, Barbara; his brothers, Will Wykle and Hubert Wykle. Ed is survived by his wife of ten years, Cindy Wykle; his daughter, Nancy Mitchell of Arizona; five sisters, Ilena McCornish of Ohio, Dorothy Harbaugh of White Sulphur Springs, Margaret Williams of Trout, Barbara and Burless Bostic of Maxwelton, and Linda and William Carrington of White Sulphur Springs: four brothers, Lee and Ann Wykle of Tennessee; Kenny Wykle of Fairlea, Richard and Pat Wykle of White Sulphur Springs, and James and Judy Wykle of Ohio; Stepchildren, Stacy and Junior Bostic of White Sulphur Springs, Bradley Odom of South Carolina, Ann Bond of Pennsylvania, and Kim and Debbie of Maryland; stepmother, Lucille Wykle of White Sulphur Springs; one grandchild; three step grandchildren; two great grand children; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, June 1 at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Rev. Mac Riggins officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery at White Sulphur Springs. Friends may call from 6-9 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
