Edith Ellen Hammons

Edith Ellen Hammons, 90, of Lewisburg, WV passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2019.  Edith worked many years as a nurse at Denmar State Hospital, Shenandoah Manor, and the Brier Nursing Home.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Lance Hammons as well as many brothers and sisters.  Survivors include her son Danny Hammons (Linda) of Ronceverte, WV, sister Betty Kershner, grandchildren, Gerald “Jamey” Hammons, Jennifer McCallister (Adam), and Stacy Hammons, and great grandchildren, Lance, Mary, and Kolin Hammons, Josh Holliday, Sarah Spurlock, Meghan and Kendra McCallister, and Destiny, Kyley, Zachery, Nadaley, Coby, and Wesley Hamrick. A graveside service will be conducted at Greenbrier Memorial Gardens on Thursday, October 10th at 11:00a.m. Those wishing to contribute in lieu of flowers may make donations to the Brier Nursing Home.  Online guestbook can be signed at www.morganfh.net.  Arrangements by Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV.
