Edward Lee "Eddie" Dolan, 75, passed away Thursday October 30, 2014. Born May 25, 1939 on Teaberry Road, Ronceverte, WV, he was the son of the late Edward Wilson and Margaret Hall Dolan. He graduated from Greenbrier High School in 1957 and Bluefield State College in 1993 with a degree in management. Eddie was a Mason and a Shriner for 49 years. In past years he was the voice of the Spartans and was active in the Greenbrier East Spartans Girls basketball team. Eddie was active in Ronceverte coaching Little League baseball for many years and coaching in the Ronceverte Lions club youth basketball league. He was a part time teacher for WVU teaching training courses for volunteer fire departments. He was a member of the fire department for over 50 years. He joined Ronceverte VFD in 1961 helping build the 2nd story on the fire department building and joined the Franklford VFD in 1985. In 2012 he was awarded a life time membership in the Frankford VFD. Eddie was a member of the Church of the Incarnation, Ronceverte, WV, serving as lay leader for many years until moving to Frankford and joining the Frankford United Methodist Church where he continued to be an active lay leader and Sunday school teacher. Eddie is survived by his wife of 55 years, Peggy Brown Dolan; sons Eddie Dolan, Jr. and wife Penny of Grottoes, VA, Scotty Dolan and wife Juli of Goodchland, VA; daughter Sherri Miller and husband Eddie of Renick, WV; special niece, Christy Brown Thomas; brother Keith Dolan and wife Patty; grandchildren CJ Miller(Jennifer), Ashley Phillips(Joe), Adam Dolan(Kristen), Megan Morris(Justin), Chelsie Dolan, and Cassi Dolan; great grandchildren Margaret "Maggie" Miller, Taylor Phillips, Kaylee Dolan, Logan Dolan, Samantha Dolan, Emery Morris and Tessa Morris. Services will be 1:00 PM Sunday, November 2, 2014 at Frankford United Methodist Church with Pastor Phil Hickman officiating, burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery at Renick, WV. Visitation will be from 6 to 8:30 PM Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Frankford United Methodist Church.
