Edward Joseph Newsome Jr.

LEWISBURG, WV – Edward J. “Buttons” Newsome Jr., 80, of Lewisburg, WV passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the Peyton Hospice House, Lewisburg, WV. Born October 30, 1937 at Frankford, WV he was the son of the late Edward Joseph Newsome Sr and Marjorie Baldwin Newsome. He was a member of the Institute of Devine Metaphysical Research and was a U.S. Army Veteran. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his children, Tyrone Lee and Malissa Hurt. He leaves to mourn his children, Victoria (Elbert) Miller of Monroe, NC, Eric Walker of Ronceverte, WV, Tracy (Glen) Williams of Freehold, NJ, Larry Saunders of Monroe, NC, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Including Khara and Shonna Saunders, Keyosha Hurt and a special friend Debbie Jackson. Homegoing service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV with Pastor Greg Scott and Dr. Frank Lewis officiating.
