Elizabeth Fetterolf Schmidt

Elizabeth Fetterolf Schmidt, 91 years old, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013 in Marlinton, WV. She was 91 years old. She was born Jan. 29, 1922 in New York to John and Gladys Fetterolf. The oldest of 3 children, she was raised in Royersford, Pa with her brother John Fetterolf, Jr. and sister Trudy Laurenson. In 1941 she married Oz Schmidt and they raised 2 children in Three Springs, PA. After raising the children she went on to get a degree from Temple University and worked for the US Census Department and the City of Chicago. After retiring she traveled the US exploring her interests and ended up in Richmond, IN where she pursued studies in her Quaker faith at Earlham Univ. School of Religion. In 2002 she moved to Lewisburg, WV before moving to the Pocahontas Center in Marlinton, WV. She is survived by: her children; daughter Autumn(Bob) Wooling of Renick, WV, son Eric (Sherry) Schmidt of Belvedere, IL; sister, Trudy Laurenson of Lewisburg, WV, sister-in-law Carolyn Fetterolf of Royersford, PA; 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and loving nieces and nephews.
