Elwood "Woody" Holliday

LEWISBURG, WV – Elwood Edgar “Woody” Holliday, 82 of Lewisburg, WV passed away Monday, December 14, 2020 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center. Born August 14, 1938 he was the son of the late Kester Stuart and Inez Ethlene Weikle Holliday. Woody attended the Renick Church of God. He was retired from the Greenbrier Gun Club after forty-three years of service. He loved playing music and singing country gospel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his brothers and sisters, Marco, Charles, Freda and Thelma Marie. Survivors include his wife of forty years, Sally Wiseman Holliday, daughters, Regina Smith (Mike) of Kansas, Teresa Putnam (Steve) of Florida and Wanda Boothe (Steve) of Lewisburg, WV, stepsons, Steve Humphreys (Lynn) of Ronceverte, WV and Jeffrey Humphreys of Marmet, WV, one brother, Sam Holliday (Rosie) of White Sulphur Springs, WV, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 17, 2020 at the New Lebanon Cemetery, Pickaway, WV with Pastors Stewart Farley and Jason Crabaugh officiating. In lieu of flowers the donations should be made to Sally Holliday – 379 Anderson Street, Lewisburg, WV 24901 to help with final expenses.
