Ernie Leo Brooks

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, WV - Ernie Leo Brooks, 55, of White Sulphur Springs, WV passed away, Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at his home. Born October 13, 1961 at Ronceverte, WV he was the son of the late Robert Eugene Sr. and Opal Marie Smith Brooks. Ernie had worked as a truck driver for Lynch Construction for many years. He loved the outdoors and hunting. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Bernadine Huffman. Survivors include his daughter, Stephanie Fury and husband Albert of White Sulphur Springs, WV, granddaughter, Savannah Brooks, brothers, Troy Brooks and wife Kathy of White Sulphur Springs, WV and Robert Brooks Jr. of Caldwell, WV, sister, Teresa Bostic of Covington, VA, his companion, Debbie Brooks of White Sulphur Springs, WV, a special friend, Deloris Brooks of White Sulphur Springs, WV, several nieces and nephews.Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the Whatcoat United Methodist Church, Rt. 92, White Sulphur Springs with Pastor Ed Craft, Pastor Bobby McClintic and Buck Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Alvon United Methodist Church Cemetery, Alvon, WV. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of the service, Saturday at the church.
