Ethel Flack Adwell, 75, of Lewisburg passed away Monday, April 27, 2015 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Fairlea. Born September 23, 1939 at Mt. Vernon, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. Flack Sr. and Marguerite Shires Flack and was also preceded in death by her brothers, Charles E. Flack Jr, Jacob H. Flack and John W. Flack and sisters, Carol J. Taylor, Glenna M. Aleshire and Mary R. Blake. She was a domestic engineer, mother and wife, raised on a 22 acre farm, loved to travel, a member of the Woman's Club, a state champion weight lifter with many trophies and certificates and was a self-taught acrylic painter, who sold most of her items. She liked flea marketing, canning and entering her art and canned goods in small fairs and festivals where she received many blue ribbons and prizes. She liked her small garden, searching roadside for spring asparagus and ramps and was a hard worker all of her life taking care of everyone close to her. Ethel is survived by her husband, William "Bill" Adwell; daughter, Christy L. Duran; grandsons, Austin, Andrew and Dylan; sisters, Anna M. Wong(Greg) of Clintonville and Marguerite B. Ratliff of St. Albans and brothers, Sydney Flack(Darlene) and Robert H.
