FRANKFORD, WV – Fitzhugh Lee Perry, 87 of Frankford, WV passed away Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center. Born April 6, 1931 at Auto, WV he was the son of the late William Fitzhugh Perry and Gertrude May Adams Perry. Mr. Perry was a Pilot who loved to fly. He owned and operated a construction business and among many projects was instrumental in remodeling most of Dulles and National Airports. Mr. Perry was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters, Opal, Vula and Sarah and four brothers, Hermit, Ralph, William and Patrick. Survivors include his loving wife of forty-seven years, Blanche Bates Ballard Perry, sons, Mark Perry (Kathleen) of Keyser, WV and Spencer Perry of Pennsylvania, stepson, David Saccone of Virginia, daughters, Kitty Sue Perry of Frankford, WV and Kathy Modlin (Stephen) of Inwood, WV, sister, Laura Palmer of Baltimore, MD, grandchildren, Patrick Hunt, Nathan and Isaac Modlin and Morgan Perry, great granddaughter, Zoe Modlin, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel – 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV with Pastor Robert Hefner officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery, Auto, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, Wednesday at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the caregivers who afforded Mr. Perry to remain in his home during the past four years.
