ALDERSON, WV – Floyd Allen “Big Daddy” Butler, 87 of Alderson, WV passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2019 at the Peyton Hospice House, Lewisburg, WV. Born August 26, 1932 at Blue Sulphur Springs, WV he was the son of the late John and Lena Hiser Butler. Floyd worked as a Machinist in Chicago, IL before retiring back home to West Virginia. He was a US Army Korean War Veteran. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of thirty years, Athlene Ruth Dodd Butler, children, Brenda Walkup, Ralph Kashola, Ruth Gibson and Ronnie Kashola, grandson, Eric Redden, brothers and sisters, Charles Butler, Mary Meade, Mamie Simms, Delvia Stuart, Glenna Forren and Carl Butler. Survivors are children, Diane Bevins (Roger) of Leslie, WV, Peggy Redden of Alderson, WV, Ellen McClung (Ronnie) of Rupert, WV and Joetta Corbin (Tommy) of Illinois, brothers, John Butler (Janice) of Alderson, Leo Butler (Janet) of Rupert, WV and Granval Simms of Blue Sulphur Springs, WV, seventeen grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
