Frances Marie Bailey

LEWISBURG, WV – Frances Marie Bailey, 92 of Lewisburg, WV, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2019, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.  Born October 7, 1926, at Sandy Huff, WV she was the daughter of the late William “Ance” and Hattie Mullins Steele.  Mrs. Bailey was a member of the Lewisburg Community Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a homemaker.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. George F. Bailey, son, Harry Bailey, grandson, Samuel Lewis Christian Jr., and two brothers, William Sherman and Jerry Wayne Steele.  Survivors include three daughters, Linda Faye Christian (Samuel) of Lewisburg, WV, Cheryle Darlene Martin of Chesapeake, VA and Kathy Joann Shaver (Richard) of Disputanta, VA, daughter in law, Goldie Bailey of Lewisburg, WV, brothers, Charles Byron “Bill” Steele of Gap Mills, WV and Harold Lawrence Steele (Mae) of Lewisburg, WV sisters, Gwendolyn Collins of Brownsburg, IN and Rosa Lee Runyon of Premier, WV; seven grandchildren, Harry Bailey Jr., Karen Surgeon, Marsha Shaver, Richard Shaver Jr., Christopher Shaver, Shayne Martin and Ellen Martin; sixteen great grandchildren, fourteen great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at the Lewisburg Community Pentecostal Holiness Church on Brush Road with Pastor Everette “Hat” Defibaugh and her nephew, Pastor Randy Webb, officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of the service, Wednesday at the church.  Online guestbook can be signed at www.morganfh.net.  Arrangements by Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV.
