Fred Ricter Rider

BALTIMORE, MD - Fred Ricter Rider, 91, of Brooklyn Park, MD passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at his home. Born December 19, 1925 at Meadow Creek, WV, he was the son of the late Clarence Rider and Mary Dilley Eplin. Fred retired from Westinghouse as a Plumber. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Reva Whanger Rider, sisters, Violet Carter and Edith Pipher and brother Howard Rider. He was the father of Lee Rider, Judy Rider Chandler and Patsy Rider Torres, grandfather of Tammy, Reva, Edward, Eric, Melissa and Susan, great grandfather of 16, brother of Cecil Rider, Faye OSeay and Lorene Phillips. Also surviving is his longtime companion, Florence Vogt.Funeral service will be 3:00 PM, Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the Morgan Funeral Home with Pastor Andy Howdock officiating. Burial will follow in the Mays Chapel Cemetery, Neola, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, Saturday at the funeral home.
