Harold T. "Buck" Wingler, 79, of Auto passed away on Monday, March 19, 2012 in the Springfield Center at Lindside. Born March 15, 1933 at Auto, he was the son of the late William Thomas and Callie Roten Wingler. Buck was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in White Sulphur Springs, he served in the United States Army, was an auto body specialist for C. W. Lewis Motors in White Sulphur Springs, a member of the White Sulphur Springs Volunteer Fire Department and had served as their Captain for a time. In 1979 he received the West Virginia Fireman's Association Act of Valor Award for exemplifying courage in saving a human life from a burning house; and in 1983 he was named Fireman of the Year. In addition to his parents, Buck was preceded in death by his wife, Violet Marie Martin Wingler; a great granddaughter, Ella Dawn Edwards; two sisters, "Gube" and Faye; and a brother, Irving. Survivors include daughter, Deborah Wingler Jorgensen and husband, Thomas of Lindside; son, Kenneth "Kenny" Wingler of Boca Raton, FL; daughter, Marjorie White and husband, Steven of Grafton; granddaughters, Karen Jorgensen Edwards and Kirsten Amber Jorgensen; grandsons, Conner Steven White and Andrew Thomas White; great grandson, Noah Justin Edwards;and sisters, Blanche Plantz of New Mexico and Annie Porter of Auto.
