Harold Thomas “Tommy” Scott, 84, of Lewisburg, West Virginia, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025. He was born on June 20, 1940 to the late Howard and Lucille (Honaker) Scott in Caldwell, West Virginia. He married his wife, Frances Lee (Wells) Scott, on November 22, 1963. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Betty Foster and Martha Fullen. Tommy is survived by his wife, Frances Lee (Wells) Scott; two sons, Michael Douglas “Doug” Scott of Lewisburg, WV, Joseph Benjamin “Joe” (Kathie) Scott of Fuquay-Varina, NC; four grandchildren, Lucille Mae “Lucy” Poling, Thomas Jhue “TJ” Scott, Olivia Grace Scott, and Lindsay Shae Scott; and two great-grandchildren, Allyson Marie Scott and Zane Michael Jhue Jackson Scott. He is also survived by his sisters Anna (Frank) Defibaugh, Freda Casto both of Caldwell, and Mary (Tom) Lee of Leesburg, Virginia, his best friends Eddie Gibson, Mike Atkins, Chris Sienkiewicz, and Bill Copeland and his faithful pet, CoCo. Tommy worked for Bluegrass Meat Dressing Plant for over forty years. He started the auction sale and flea market called the Bluegrass Farmer’s Exchange in 1960. He took great pride in his work and was well liked by his customers. He spent his retirement years living life at his own pace. He loved planting a garden and sharing its yield, mowing his yard, and spending time with his family and friends. He also went to the flea market, yard sales, and auctions where he enjoyed talking with people. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel – 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV. Funeral service will follow immediately at 1:00 PM, at the funeral home with Pastor Jacob Riley and Pastor Kenny Baker officiating. “God said, ‘You are tired my son, come on home.’ And you went.”
