Harry James "Stork" Thomas

Harry James "Stork" Thomas, age 64, of Sinks Grove, WV went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Fairlea, WV following a long illness.Born January 27, 1952 in Greenbrier County WV, he was the son of the late Forrest C. Thomas Sr. and the late Martha Virginia Carter Thomas. In addition to his parents and grandparents, he was preceded in death by several aunts, uncles, and other relatives.Mr. Thomas was a graduate of Alderson High School and had worked many years at Frazier and Acme Limestone Co. in Fort Springs WV. Later in life he enjoyed flea marketing, fishing, and he loved spending time with his grandchildren.Survivors include his wife Kathy Burns Thomas at home, son Joshua Cleveland Thomas of Ronceverte WV, step-daughter Jennifer Whitaker and husband Jarod of War Ridge WV, step-son Andy Holcomb and wife Michelle of Fort Springs WV, grandchildren Kelli Lephew, Caleb Lephew, Dylan Whitaker, Peyton and Ryland Holcomb, and step grandchildren Isabella and Conner Brooks. Brothers and sisters, Bertha Reynolds and husband Carl of Union, Forrest Thomas Jr. and Rodney Thomas of Alderson, Rodger Thomas and wife Betty of Alderson, Shirley Thomas of Asbury, Louise Hiser and husband Frank of Fairlea, Nancy Baker and husband Dwyre of Alderson, Betty Morgan of Alderson and many nieces and nephews.Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, August 10,2016 at 2:00 pm at the Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Pastor Jonathan Hunt officiating. Burial will follow at the Fletcher addition of the Alderson cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday August 9, 2016 from 6-8pm at Morgan Funeral Home.Serving as pallbearers are Bobby Osborne, Billy Thomas, Sam Clay, Andy Holcomb, David Burns, Jamie Burns, John Chapman, and Jamie Utterback.In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Morgan Funeral home for funeral expenses.
