Hermond W. Lilly, 84, of Lewisburg passed away, Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center. Born December 31, 1929 at Lewisburg, he was the son of the late Raymond and Artie Lilly and in addition to his parents was preceded in death by his brother Armour Lilly and sisters, Elva Woolard and Glena Gunn. Mr. Lilly retired from Bill Lewis Motors after 30 years of service in the detail shop. He was a Korean War Veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart, Korean Service Bronze, United Nations Service and National Defense medals. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans since 1977 and the American Legion and the Senior Circle at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center. Hermond is survived by his wife of 62 years, Madeline Loudermilk Lilly; nieces Catherine Sears of Lewisburg and Judy Stuart of Virginia; nephews, Frank Woolard of Lewisburg, Nicholas, William and Timothy Gunn of California and good friend and cousin, Linda Stidom and husband, Dale. A graveside service and burial with military honors will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, July 27 at Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg with Pastor Robert O.
