Iona Davis

LEWISBURG, WV – Iona Louise Davis, lovingly known as Inie, 87 of Lewisburg, WV passed away Thursday, August 10, 2023, with her daughter Ina by her side, following a short stay at the Lewisburg Health Care Center. Born February 8, 1936, she was the daughter of the late John W. Sheppard and Madeline Larcey Hayes Howard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Edmond Howard and stepmother, Polly Sheppard, husband, Saniford Ray Davis, sons, Christopher Davis and Saniford Ray Davis Jr., friend and companion, Roy Marshall Dunbar, sisters, Rosalee Spencer (Lloyd) and Viola Sheppard, three brothers, John W. Sheppard Jr., Glen Sheppard, and Calvin Howard (Alice).

Survivors are a son, Hassel Jackson of Lewisburg, WV, daughter, Ina Quick of Lewisburg, daughter, Christy Vaughn of White Sulphur Springs, half-sisters, Janice Dunbar, and Verna Sheppard, thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
