Isaiah Bee Johnson

LEWISBURG, WV- Isaiah Bee Johnson, 90 of Lewisburg, WV passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston, WV.

Born May 14, 1934, in Trout, WV, Bee was the son of the late Wilda Kay Johnson Nicely. He was retired from Mountaineer Gas after many years of service.

Bee loved playing his guitar, especially bluegrass music. He was an avid gardener when able and enjoyed watching WVU football.

In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his stepfather, Lloyd Nicely; brothers, Edward Baldwin and James Nicely; and three sisters, Nina Lewis, Bernice Sergeant, and Sally Nicely.

Survivors include his loving wife of sixty-eight years, Ireta McMillion Johnson; daughters, Darlene Wright (Donald), Diana Johnson, and Donna Johnson; grandson, Justin Thomas; and great-grandson, Isaiah Thomas; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, February 10, 2025, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, Lewisburg, WV with Pastor Emory Hanna officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, February 9, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in the Morningside Cemetery, Renick, WV.
