RONCEVERTE, WV – James Andrew Baker, 83 of Ronceverte, WV passed away Monday, January 27, 2020 at his home. Born April 4, 1935 in Ronceverte, WV he was the son of the late Cecil R. and Inez Baker. Mr. Baker was a retired postal carrier. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Ronceverte and was also a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Cecil Jack Baker, Ashby David Baker and Robert Lacy “Bob” Baker, an infant sister and son in law, Mike Sulser. He was a loving father to his surviving two daughters, Cassandra “Sandy” Cole and Tamara “Tammy” (Curtis) Burns all of Ronceverte. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Charles (Christina) Sulser, James (Lauren) Sulser, Brittany (Randy) Burns, Tracey (Kenny) Hylton and Baylee Burns and great grandchildren, Townes & Kori Hylton, Michael Ray Sulser, Krew McCormick, Hunter and Ruger Jack Blankenship, Rhiannon and Aliyah Blankenship his furry companions, Little Bit and Puss Foot, the mother of his daughters, Esther Aleshire, special friend, Roxanne Cox, several nieces and nephews.
It was Mr. Baker’s wish to be cremated. Memorial service will be 1:00 PM, Friday, January 31, 2020 at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel.
