James Douglas Morrison, 72, of Ronceverte WV, passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on Nov. 12, 2016 after a long illness.Born April 12, 1944 in Marlinton, WV; He retired from the Greenbrier after 27 years of service. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.Jim was the son of the late Carl Morrison and the late Alice Puffenbarger Morrison. Preceded in death by one brother, Donald Morrison (survived by wife Ruby Morrison), and two sisters, Sue Beverly and Beverly Gibson.Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Betty Elmore Morrison of Ronceverte, Five sons, Steve (Sandy) White of Sinks Grove, Danny (Liz) White of Fairlea, Timmy (Sherry) White of Second Creek, Rodney (Becky)White of Ronceverte, Todd (Darlene) White of Clintonville, and three daughters, Debbie Harris of Ronceverte, Tonya White (Chad) of Covington and Amy (Justin) Woolward of Ronceverte; Three brothers, Gerald Morrison of Elkins, Bill (DeAnna) Morrison of Florida and Sam Morrison of Elkins; Ten grandchildren, Colin, Laurel, Kellen, Lacey, Heather, Jeremy, Sarah, Jacob, Joshua and Reed. Eight great grandchildren; one great granddaughter, Lexi, whom he cherished and devoted his life to and several nieces and nephews.Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Rev. Mike Tincher officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Park Cemetery at Second Creek.Visitation will be 6:00 to 9:00 PM Monday, November 14, 2016 at the funeral home.
