James Robert Poe

James Robert Poe, 64, of Clintonville passed away Thursday November 15, 2012 at his home. Born February 18, 1948 at Clintonville he was the son of the late Edgar Allen Poe Sr. and Olive Cohenour Poe. He worked thirty-one years as a technician for the telephone company and was a Vietnam veteran. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Edgar Allen Poe Jr. and Edward Lee Poe. James is survived by his wife, Grace Laura Poe; daughters, Laura Lynn Simonds and husband, Matt of Lavergne, TN, and Melanie Dawn Anderson and significant other, Jesse "Chip" Dozier of Nashville, TN: eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; sisters, Cuma Florey and husband, Frank and Dorothy Rita and Bill Finan; and several nieces and nephews. In honor of Mr. Poe's wishes, services for family and friends are private.
