Janet Marie Hess Linton

LEWISBURG, WV – Janet Marie Hess Linton, 71 of Lewisburg, WV passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center following a sudden illness. Born November 10, 1947 at Ronceverte, WV she was the daughter of Warren Preston Hess and Grace Eleanora Dalton Hess. She was a member of the Edgewood Presbyterian Church and Graduated from Greenbrier High School in Ronceverte. Janet had worked at Long’s License & Titling, Cato’s and Stone & Thomas. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Michele Alda Linton. She was first and foremost a loving mother to her daughter, Angela Danielle Linton (Kevin Deitz) of Lewisburg, WV. Including her daughter, she is survived and will be greatly missed by her companion of nineteen years, Robert E. Halstead, stepson, William Halstead (Jennifer) of Washington State and step grandchildren, Dakota, Ariana, Chloe and Courtney and her former husband of thirty-one years, Jerry D. Linton (Betty McGurty) of Lewisburg, WV. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Friday, January 4, 2019 at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel – 252, Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV with Pastor Kenny Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the New Lebanon Cemetery at Pickaway, WV. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the funeral home.
